The main Job Purpose is to secure a minimum of £700,000 per annum to support the services of Epilepsy Scotland through a variety of fundraising disciplines, including Trusts, Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy, Major Donors, and Training.
Principle Duties
- To lead and support the Fundraising Manager & Team to achieve the organisation’s annual agreed Fundraising Target.
- Build on existing & develop a complimentary strategy to achieve a fundraising total which supports all activities of Epilepsy Scotland and allows for the development of new services and activities.
- To lead and support the Training Manager & Team to achieve the organisation’s annual agreed Training Target.
- To work with any external partners on the development of any new income generating schemes.
- Developing and maintaining a portfolio of existing charitable trusts and foundation partnerships.
- Identify and research suitable Trusts and Foundations to apply for financial support and explore potential funding.
- Prepare compelling and persuasive funding proposals and grant applications.
- Customise proposals to align with priorities and requirements of different funders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders both internal and external, to provide reports and updates on projects.
- Submitting reports and gathering material as required.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of developments in fundraising in general and trust funding in particular to assist with the development of Epilepsy Scotland’s fundraising strategy.
- Working with colleagues to develop robust project budgets and costings for inclusion in funding applications and reports.
- Work closely with the Fundraising Manager to ensure compliance with grant terms.
- Working closely with Team Leaders to ensure monitoring and evaluation is correctly recorded.
- To identify and apply for corporate charity partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to the development, roll-out and delivery of the organisation’s strategy.
- Provide regular reports to SMT and Board of Trustees advising on performance against targets, achievements and areas of growth.
- Develop and implement strategic plan for Legacy Fundraising.
